Homes for ukrainians
The government has introduced a new scheme which allows individuals and households to host Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes.
Any Ukrainian who wants to come to the UK to seek sanctuary can come if you are willing to offer them a home for at least 6 months.

There are two national organisations co-ordinated the response of individuals, households, charities, churches and other groups to the Ukrainian crisis.
Sanctuary Foundation is helping build up a body of support and enthusiasm across the country. Sanctuary Foundation supports potential sponsors, provides resources to individuals, community groups, churches, schools and businesses to step up to build this vital provision for Ukrainian refugees.
Reset UK has been helping establish community sponsorship for the resettlement of refugees for a number of years and is now working to link potential Hosts in the UK with individual named Ukrainian refugees. Click here to find out more about how this works.
Hosting a refugee family will be more than just a roof over a head. The families will need help with accessing local resources such as health and benefits and will have experienced trauma. As a Host you will need help and guidance. Please contact Host Abingdon which will help you meet other hosts so you can share experience and problems.
